Customer Story: How PragmaGO Launched SMB Lending in Spain with LendFusion

written by the Vahuri Voolaid on the 14th of July 2026

Overview

PragmaGO, a publicly listed Polish fintech with over 30 years of experience in SMB financing, used LendFusion’s loan servicing software to launch its business lending product in Spain. The rollout went live on April 23, 2026, and PragmaGO is now lending to Spanish SMBs daily, with its loan portfolio growing month over month since launch.

Quick facts

  • Company: PragmaGO SA — Warsaw-listed fintech, supervised by Poland’s Financial Supervision Authority (KNF)
  • Core business: factoring and short-term SMB loans, established in Poland for 30+ years
  • New market: Spain, SMB lending
  • Platform: LendFusion loan servicing software
  • Timeline: kicked off January 2026, live April 23, 2026 — about three months
  • Key integrations: GoCardless SEPA payments, Freshworks CRM
  • Result: fully operational and lending daily, with a Spanish loan portfolio that has grown every month since go-live

PragmaGO expanded its SMB lending business into Spain in 2026 — a move that required a loan servicing platform built from scratch for a new market, regulatory regime and payment infrastructure.

PragmaGO’s Challenge

PragmaGO had already built its own proprietary loan servicing platform for its Polish operations. That system worked well for the business it was built for, but it wasn’t built for Spain, and rebuilding it for a second market would have meant pulling engineering resources away from the core Polish business.

Rather than divert its own team, PragmaGO needed a partner that could deliver a dedicated, ready-to-use loan servicing platform covering the full loan lifecycle — origination, servicing, collections — along with Spanish regulatory compliance and the payment and communication integrations a new market demands. That’s the gap LendFusion was brought in to fill.

Implementation: From Discovery to Go-Live

The project followed a phased rollout:

This was followed by internal QA, then UAT with PragmaGO’s team, before the system moved to production.

The original scope targeted 6–7 weeks from kick-off in January. Go-live landed on April 23, 2026 — roughly three months in, stretched by the depth of customization PragmaGO needed for its Spanish product.

Built Around PragmaGO’s Spanish Product

PragmaGO’s Spanish business isn’t a copy of its Polish one, and the platform needed to reflect that. Beyond the standard LendFusion setup, the build included:

  • GoCardless SEPA payments built directly into a custom loan signing flow, so mandate setup happens as part of signing rather than a separate follow-up email
  • A custom loan accounting subledger designed specifically for PragmaGO’s interest-free B2B loan structure
  • Automated invoicing, including invoice and note numbering for financing fee documents
  • Freshworks CRM integration with mandate status syncing
  • Tailored decline reasoning and application flows
  • Support for Spanish identity documents — NIF, DNI and NIE — to accommodate autónomos

Solving for a Market with No Dedicated System

Before LendFusion, PragmaGO had nothing built for Spain — its existing platform served the Polish business only. Two problems stood out. Payment collection needed a mechanism suited to the Spanish market, solved through GoCardless mandate setup tied to the signing flow and automated collections. And the platform itself needed to fit Spanish regulatory and language requirements, addressed through localization, Spanish-language flows and support for local identity documents.

Results

PragmaGO is now fully operational in Spain and lending daily. Since launch, its Spanish loan portfolio has grown steadily month over month.

PragmaGO’s expansion follows a pattern we’ve seen with other LendFusion customers moving into new markets. Gaia needed multi-currency support to launch across borders, and Planet42 built its vehicle financing business on the same platform. More examples are in our case studies of successful loan management software.
